Responsibilities
• Design and develop telecom, test and prototype hardware for communication products, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Lead schematic design, PCB layout, and lab board bring-up
• Perform detailed and complete schematic design, including component selection
• Develop hardware architecture and write hardware requirements for systems of high complexity
• Perform board bring-up and key verification
• Solve complex lab and design problems
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues through structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain strong communication and relations with suppliers, customers, and other internal teams to ensure the timeline is followed
• Develop detailed test plans and design verification plans
• Work with extended cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field required
• Typically 15+ years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on telecommunications
• Proficiency in CAD tools for schematics and layout
• Experience with laboratory equipment for hardware testing, including oscilloscopes
• Practical experience in electrical hardware design, debugging, and system integration
• Experience with PCIe, DDR4, SERDES, JESD204B and UART interfaces
• Experience with product certification at external labs
• Ability to travel up to 10% (e.g., supplier visits, contract manufacturer sites, lab bring-up support
